ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee and complete preventative maintenance programs and enter data into the maintenance tracking system.
  • Maintain vehicles and trailers in accordance with CHP, BIT, and DOT inspection parameters.
  • Make repairs as needed to tractors and trailers, complete oil changes as needed, and brake adjustments as needed.
  • Create and implement maintenance procedures.
  • Oversee parts stock and place orders for new supplies when necessary.
  • Work on vehicles and trailers on job sites as needed.
  • Keep the Transportation Manager informed about major repairs that are needed.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Seven to ten years of related experience and/or training
  • Class A Driver’s License with hazmat, air brake and cargo tank endorsements
  • Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft applications

CERTIFICATIONS:

  • DMV Medical Certificate
  • DOT Brake Inspector Certificate
  • Refrigerant Recycling & Recovery Certificate
  • ASE Certification preferred

Hourly Pay: $32-$45
