Hamner Towing

We recently sat down with Hamner Towing, a Downs Energy customer for more than 30 years.

Tell us about the history of Hamner Towing.

Dennis & Pamela Horvath purchased the business in 1983. Dennis was an automotive technician at a local Ford dealership and Pam was a real estate agent during a period of extremely high interest rates. At that time there were less than 5 units in the fleet and no automotive repair service. Since then, we have grown to operate a fleet of over 30 pieces of equipment. In the early days, Pam ran the business while Dennis continued his career at the dealership. The business remains a family affair with three generations involved in the daily operations with many long term employees.

“We continue to look for innovative ways to enhance the service experience for our customers. We understand that it is our people who represent our company to the public and every employee here must understand this. Therefore, quality individuals with a strong work ethic will always have a home within our company.”
